NEMT software pricing for your fleet

Answer two short questions to see the monthly and first-year price of every program that publishes one.

1 of 2How many vehicles do you run?

Your prices appear after the second question.

NEMT software pricing depends mostly on what the vendor counts. It might be the vehicles you run, your busiest day or your trips, or the vendor might quote a price just for you. Once you know which method a platform uses, you can tell whether the cost will hold steady or rise as your fleet gets busier.

How do vendors set their prices?

The most common approach is a fixed fee per vehicle each month. Some vendors charge only for vehicles in use. Bambi counts the most vehicles you had out on any one day last month, so your busiest day sets the bill. ZeitRide and DriveBoss also bill on active vehicles but do not say on their pages how they count, so ask them before you sign up. Other platforms rely on tiers, a base fee plus a per-trip charge, or a custom quote.

When the price is per vehicle, each vehicle you put on the road adds the same fixed amount to your bill. DriveBoss charges less for each vehicle once you pass 10 and again once you pass 20. NEMT Cloud Dispatch uses vehicle-count tiers, with a separate single-vehicle plan and custom pricing for fleets of 50 or more.

With MediRoutes, the bill grows with every trip, because you pay $0.50 for each one-way ride on top of the monthly fee. A round trip counts as two rides. No-shows and trips cancelled at the door also get billed. A dispatcher who cancels a trip before it's scheduled does not trigger a charge.

Is there free NEMT software?

With Duet NEMT you pay nothing as long as your monthly trips stay under 100. Past that point, you're billed only for loaded trip time, meaning the stretch when a passenger is aboard. Empty driving toward a pickup isn't charged. Duet reports that most providers come out under $50 per active vehicle a month, though that's a typical figure, not a fixed rate.

Modivcare offers WellRyde free or at a reduced cost to its network providers, but only for the trips Modivcare sends them. Modivcare acts as a broker, meaning it arranges Medicaid rides and hands them to transport providers.

Budget-friendly picks for smaller fleets

NEMT Cloud Dispatch has no setup fee and includes setup of connections to ride brokers. ZeitRide costs $49 per active vehicle a month, with unlimited trips and staff on month-to-month terms. Dash cams, rider texts and calls cost extra.

Duet NEMT also works well for a fleet running few rides, since you pay nothing below 100 monthly trips.

Extra costs vendors publish

A small monthly fee can end up bigger once add-ons come into play, so it's worth checking these before committing:

  • ZeitRide: a dash cam runs $29 per vehicle monthly, with rider texts at 3 cents apiece and calls at 5 cents apiece
  • NEMT Platform: card payments carry a 3.2% fee, and remote dispatch help runs $4.50 to $8.00 hourly
  • MediRoutes: a second broker connection adds $100 to the $150 plan, card payments take 3.5%, and checks cost $35
  • RouteGenie: Growth-plan customers pay separately for broker links, auto-dispatch and passenger apps
  • NEMT Cloud Dispatch: custom development billed at $95 hourly
  • TripMaster: training carries an upfront charge

Not every vendor adds extras. Bambi charges $69 per active vehicle a month with every feature, support and broker connections included, and there's no setup fee.

Vendors that publish no price

You'll need to ask for a quote if you're considering AngelTrack, NEMT Platform, NovusMED, QRyde, Traumasoft or TripMaster. TripMaster builds its price from the modules you pick, how large your fleet is, and how many office staff need accounts. QRyde mentions a cost per ride but shares no rate.

Questions people often ask

What's RouteGenie's monthly price?

The Growth plan runs $50 for each vehicle monthly. Pro costs $750 a month with 15 vehicles included, then $50 for each additional vehicle, and broker connections plus auto-dispatch come with it.

Is it easy to walk away if the software disappoints?

Bambi, ZeitRide, NEMT Cloud Dispatch, NEMT Platform, RouteGenie, Duet, AngelTrack and TripMaster list monthly billing or month-to-month terms, but before signing, ask how much notice you need to give and which fees are refundable. DriveBoss asks for 30 days' written notice on the monthly plan. If you prepay for a year to get the $10 a vehicle discount, that payment is not refunded if you leave early. TripMaster will refund your maintenance and support fees if you exit inside 90 days.

Is a driver app part of RoutingBox?

Yes. Every RoutingBox plan includes the driver app, tracking, as many dispatchers as you like, broker links and invoicing.

What broker connections does Bambi support?

Among the 13 brokers Bambi names on its own pages are MTM, Modivcare, Verida, Alivi and SafeRide Health.
